downtown during ROT rally?
I posted a few days ago about a guys weekend... they really all want to come the weekend of the ROT rally and I keep trying to discourage that. But, then again, i've never gone anywhere near downtown during ROT rally (because I'm not a nut). Would they be able to do one night -Fri or Sat- on like 4th Street area for dinner, drinks, music... or is it just a complete zoo everywhere? Anyone have experience?

ROT Rally weekend is one of my faves...most of the crowd/craziness will be on 6th, but parking will be a b!tch everywhere.
We actually take Marisa to watch the "Motorcycle parade" and walk up and down 6th checking out the bikes before it gets dark. Everyone is super friendly and it's SO MUCH FUN.
If they start their night early enough (6ish, maybe 7ish), they'd probably be OK parking-wise.

Me and some other nesties actually went to a sing along at the Ritz last year during the ROT rally. It wasn't too horrible and we parked in a garage. We ended up going to a bar afterwards and it wasn't that bad at all. But it was a Thursday night and it had been pouring all night and finally let up when we were leaving the Ritz.
