Travel Agencies?

Hi, ladies.

First of all, thanks for the hotel recs in New Orleans-they were very helpful.

We're in the very beginning phrase of planning a trip during the summer.  We live in the Frisco area and would like to know if any of you have any travel agency recs?

Do you have a favorite vacation spots? I've heard great things about Greece as well as Rome; we're also looking into Thailand.

Thanks!

Re: Travel Agencies?

  • Wow, I'm jealous!!!! I would love to go on a big trip like Greece, Spain, Ireland, etc.  Maybe some day!!!!

I've only used a travel agent once, for our honeymoon but he mainly specializes in Mexico and the Caribbean so prob not a lot of help to you. Here's the info though, just in case.

We were very pleased with the service and recommendations he gave.

  • This is going to be our very first 'official' vacation since our honeymoon so there's no need to be jealous. LOL. We figured we were due at least 1 great vacation! :)

I'm super excited but really don't know where to start since we haven't really had any experience planning anything outside of the U.S.

Thanks for the rec-I'm going to take a look right now.

  • If you do go to Rome may I suggest taking a few days and heading north to the Cinque Terre.

  • Nicole- thanks for suggesting that.  I looked up some pictures and it looks beautiful.  Were you there recently?

  • We went there on our honeymoon (Rome, Cinque Terre, and then Florence). It is absolutely gorgeous. The beaches are rock, so not ideal for "laying out", but we really enjoyed the hike from one end to the other. Each village is very unique. It's a really good in-between spot if you are going multiple places b/c you can just relax and enjoy the scenery. We would go back in a minute!
