Mattresses
So DH and I are thinking about upgrading to a king size mattress. Any suggestions on great places to buy one (good deals)? We're thinking maybe Sam's.
I'm sooo anxious for a king size bed! It'll make our room seem a lot smaller, but I don't care. The only time we're in there is when we're asleep anyway!

Re: Mattresses
Do you know that we spend 1/3 of our lives on our mattresses? Never underestimate the value of a good mattress! ::steps off soapbox::
Sam's would probably be a great place to look. MrShoe and I bought a mattress a year ago from that place on Siegen in front of Target. I can't think of the name of it to save my life. Mattress Direct? Anyway, they were able to offer the best deal by far. Look for a place like that; since they are part of a huge company, they'll be able to offer you a better price than a furniture store will. Also, President's Day weekend is the best time of year to buy a mattress.

We got our new king size from Sams. We got the firm pillowtop. DH would sleep on concrete and be happy, but I didn't want it too firm - this one was a good compromise. They did have one that was softer, though.
We only have room to walk around the bed, because our bedrooms are so small. But it's SOO worth it!
We bought our mattress from Ikea and the guest room mattress from Bedding Plus (on Siegen). They're both great.
Ours is foam from Ikea, I didn't suggest it because of the drive, but we got ours in Houston and LOVE it.
Love our mattress. Love Ikea. I'd make that drive any day
how are they, price-wise?
I think ours was like $300, that might have been the queen, let me see if I can find the link. We also turn ours each week because it's so easy. I'm such a fan!

Here are all of the mattresses. We got a foam one and we have the slats so it can't fit on a regular bed frame. But it is adjustable on each side. i.e. John's is less firm than mine. Oh that reminds me, I want to make mine less firm. In our guest room we have the same mattress on a regular boxspring.
