So we wanted to go beachy, but we have found it to be SOOO difficult!
We are still painting the walls a light purple (to match the bed set we are getting... http://www.target.com/Sumersault-Julia-piece-Crib-Set-Multicolor/dp/B002IGEW8U/ref=in_de_detail-item-display), but it is floral as you can see, but not so beachy. I wanted something girly-ish, and all the beach/ocean stuff was really blue and green and not too cute! We may do little things here and there to add the beach in, but we don't want it to be TOOO overwhelming and a mish mosh of stuff!
I am sad it can't be so beachy, but maybe when she is a little older we will revamp...We shall see!
I love how you called me bump a beachy bump LOL

I hadn't seen those, but we wanted to go with purple, but the 1st 2 are SUPER DEE DUPER cute! We just wanted purple more than anything really!
Oh, I didn't realize you were going with purple! Can't wait to see the room, it's going to look great!
I may have forgotten to mention that MINOR detail LOL
Ditto! It's super cute! And I'm sure you will be able to add in beach-y touches here and there. Can't wait to see how it all comes together!
Love the bedding!
As someone who is all about the beach, my first thought was that mermaids would go great with what you've picked out. Maybe some mermaid prints that are girly and have lots of colors, including purple, in them. Plus mermaids would carry over well from baby to older child.
Roxy makes a ton of beach, girly room stuff too.
I'm thinking of mermaid stuff like this: http://www.art.com/products/p13104283-sa-i2307006/sarah-battle-mermaid.htm?sorig=cat&sorigid=7575&dimvals=7575&ui=31c12de198274fad8ab4ed65274211ab
