rec your gyn in the triangle

I'm sure this has been asked in the past but I was wondering if anyone has any good recs.  I've been looking online and tried to get an appt at one office but they didn't have any new patient appointment in Feb that worked with my schedule.  Any suggestions?  Thanks! Oh, I'm in the NW Raleigh area but would be willing to travel to find a great doc.

Re: rec your gyn in the triangle

  • I go to Mid Carolina OBGYN.  I like them http://www.midcarolinaobgyn.com/index.htm .  I saw Dr. Teasley and she was great.  I will say that I called a couple places when I was looking for a doctor and it may take awhile to get a new patient appointment that works with your schedule...just be patient.

  • I go to Dr. Katherine Barrett at Capital Area OB-GYN and I think she's great!  my mom goes to the same practice and has see several of the doctors and likes them there.  They have offices in Cary and Raleigh.
  • I second Mid-Carolina. I LOVE them. Dr. Creighton is my favorite, she's awesome. She delivered my son. That being said I've seen them all and haven't had a bad experience with any of the Drs. Creighton, Wind and Groff are my favorites though.
  • I'm switching from Raleigh OB/GYN (don't recommend) to Atrium Ob/GYN.  I obviously can't personally recommend them, but 've heard so many good things about the practice from completely separate sources that I have high hopes. Unfortunately, they do have a bit of a wait for an appt as a new patient. In fact, I just made my appt yesterday and they said the earliest they could get me in was March. I don't know if it was early or late March b/c I don't need to be seen until April. I know Wilkerson Ob/Gyn is another popular practice among the nesties (or bumpies?) on the baby board.
