Okay, who all is hosting a Super Bowl (or Commercial viewing) party?
We're having a low-key event...10 - 15 friends over and making it a "SOUPer" bowl theme for food.
We're planning on having
- Vegetarian Chili
- Butternut Squash Soup
- One other soup (TBD)
- Selection of Wisconsin cheeses
- Chips/Salsa/Guac
- Homemade pizzas
- Football shaped chocolate cake and cookies
- A selection of beers (Local brews, Sam Adams, and a couple mini-keg choices)
Anyone else hosting this weekend?

How fun! I bet New Orleans is going to be crazy this weekend! Aside from the King Cake, are there any New Orleans/Saints traditions out there that are a "must include"?

We are doing something small. Currently it is deep fryer season in our house so we'll have the following:
taquitos
curly fries
cheese sticks
jalapenos poppers
And then we'll also have pulled pork sandwiches with cole slaw.
Not sure on drinks yet.
me and it looks like it's going to be a full house of about 20 people
so far my menu is:
pigs in a blanket
Buffalo chicken dip
Sticky Chicken Wings
Salsa Roll Ups
and the usual chips & dip
We're having a pretty small gathering, just two other couples and us. We each have two kids, so that will make things busy though.
Someone mentioned gumbo above, and inspiration struck me - I think I'm going to make jambalaya. Probably the Zatarains box kit, with smoked sausage and shrimp, and sauteed red bell pepper, onion and celery. That should satisfy the group!
Chopped salad for dinner
For appetizers:
Buffalo chicken dip with chips, carrots and celery
Chips and guacamole
Assorted veggies and dip
Spinach artichoke dip and crackers
Spicy chicken wings with blue cheese dressing
Dessert will be brownies, and maybe rice krispie treats.
For the kids, corn dogs, chicken nuggets, peas and homemade mac n cheese.
