Hi girls,
So we currently live in Indiana. Planning on moving next spring/summer. I'm hoping to be working at All Children's Hospital in St. Pete. Hubby will hopefully be in the operators union or ironworkers union. But, we are hometown people. Need to know the next door neighbors type of people. We aren't "urban" or anything like that. Def. beach bums...I need some good recs on neighborhoods. DH will more than likely be based out of tampa. And I don't mind a drive...I curently commute two hours one way. Any help would be appreciated. We need a house with 3+ bedrooms couple of bathrooms, a pool would be awesome, fenced in yard a must, little to no crime, w/in 20-30 min of a beach, I could go on and on. Like I said, i'm just a little picky. We are heading down in January and I'm wanting to narrow my choices down. Oh yeah, budget, could go up to 200,000 really want to stay within 150000. Thanks girls!!!
Monica
Re: Relocation help..please..i'm picky
we live in NE st pete and i work downtown across street from all kids, our neighborhood is really nice, we really like it there is a park where there is water in our neighbrhood, and there is a beach downtown otherwise you are about 20 minutes to the gulf beach rather than the bay beach and about 20 minutes give or take to get to tampa depending on time of day. we leave off 38th ave NE and east of 4th st just to give you a general area. I would say there is little crime in this neighborhood but not going to rule it out completely! there is a lot of crime everywhere down here, thats all that seems to be on the news.
heather_bacon at yahoo dot com if you want to email me. we moved here from Minnesota 2 years ago.
I live in St. Pete as well. North St. Pete. Feel free to email me (CarrFam@tampabay.rr.com). Also, I have an inside scoop of what areas of St. Pete have higher crime than others. We are thankfully in a very low crime area. I love my neighborhood and best of all I love my neighbors. I know all of them! We are just a quick car ride from Tampa (14 miles from the first Tampa exit, to be exact), and only a few minutes from downtown St. Pete (yet still far enough away that I don't feel we're in an urban environment). Again please feel free to email me with any questions!!! I'd be happy to help where I can!
