Thinking ahead to Valentine's day?
What are your plans for Valentine's day?
I'm not sure what to do. I was thinking of getting a special little cake or something but since Valentine's day is on a Sunday, that doesn't leave much time for sneaking around
Re: Thinking ahead to Valentine's day?
We stopped celebrating Valentines day a long time ago. No cards, flowers, nothing.
I'm sure when/if we have kids we'll do little special things for them but nothing crazy. We prefer our own holidays, the day we met, our wedding anniversary and things like that to really make those days stand out. Those are our special days of extra love ;o)

We have never really done anything either although last year DH surprised me with the choc. covered apples from Edible Arrangements. Normally we just grab a pizza and 1/2 moon cookies for dessert (my favorite).
This year we are celebrating my sister's bday on vday which means mom is making lasagna which will be nicer than going out cause you won't get rushed for other people waiting and we can have as big of portions as we want. with Ice cream cake for dessert!
We don't celebrate Valentine's Day. We're very "bah humbug" about it just b/c it's a Hallmark holiday.
We'll be going to the hockey game and having our normal relaxing Sunday at home
I am a hopeless romantic so i love V-Day!
I am going to take DH to breakfast at a new little hotspot i found after church. Then i think we are going to see Valentine's Day in the theatre and then cook dinner at home.
The SAturday night before DH is cooking my favorite meal- grilled cheese and tomato soup. He uses Wegmans rosemary olive-oil bread and 3 kinds of cheese. To die for!
On V-day we're going to a wine and chocolate pairing tasting- yum! That's in the afternoon, so we'll probably just cook something together at home.
