I was just looking at the nominations for the 2010 Oscars and there are 10 BEST PICTURES nominees! Yikes! That's going to make for a very long show.
I thought it would be fun to post our Oscar predictions for this year. They can either be what you would like to see win or actual prediction of wins (who is mostly likely to get the award.) Here's the list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/82nd_Academy_Awards
Re: 2010 Oscar Predictions
Hands down, I think Avatar should win best picture and director. I was amazed at the world that James Cameron was able to create. It is so stunning and creative.
Best Actor - Jeff Bridges
Best Actress - Gabourey Sidibe
Best Sup. Actor - Stanley Tucci
Best Sup. Actress - Monique (sorry, but I thought Penelope Cruz was AWFUL in Nine. Hated that movie, though).
Best Animated - Up
I think it's funny that The Young Victoria got nominated for best makeup. What makeup? They didn't even put mascara on her.
Wow I have some movies to watch! The only movie I've seen out of all those is Inglorious Bastards ... which I hated.
I am super excited to see The Blind Side, though.
Anyone else recomend seeing any of the others on the list?
From the best pic list, I've only seen Avatar, Blind Side, and Up. I enjoyed all three, Blind Side most. If I watch the Oscars, I root for the movies I've seen if I liked 'em. Otherwise, you can't really know who you want to win!
avatar in 3D! I was very hesitant since I'm not into scifi (at all), but it has a good story. and the effects are pretty stunning.
I liked up in the air but I think my expectations were set too high and I was a bit disappointed. thought the blind side was a bit cheesy - don't hate!
Pretty irritated Hollywood's still on the Avatar bandwagon. It's nothing special and definitely doesn't deserve an Oscar nom. I hope The Hurt Locker sweeps every category it was nominated in.
My blog about starting over, dating, life and all of its awkward moments.
ditto! the 3D effects were amazing and the colors! definitely different than any movie i've seen before!
i haven't seen Up in the Air yet... it didn't look that good! i'm surprised to see it on the Best Pictures list!
