leander tax rates?

Just out of curiousity :)  does anyone know how to figure out the taxes on a home in the leander area?  TIA!

Re: leander tax rates?

  • Yes, you can go to the Wilco CAD site and plug in the tax rates.  I want to say that I just figured ours out and it was 2.65?  I am sure one of the realtors on here can also help out.  IF you homestead, then you get a slight discount on some of the taxes but you have to own as of Jan 1 of the year you are claiming.

  • Oh, that's the part I was a bit confused about.  I thought all of Leander was in Williamson County.  Is it not?  I went to the Wilco CAD site, and one of the tax codes for the property we're looking at is Travis County.

    I'm horrible about property taxes...

Another question.  If people are currently living in a house claimed the homestead exemption, would the buyers also get the homestead exemption?

  • If you email me I can pull the property/area and get you the rate
