S/O beds

So if we get a king size bed, I'm thinking it'd be best to use our queen size one in our guest toom, which currently has a full size.

Originally, I planned to convert Elise's crib to the toddler bed  once she tries to climb out.  I'm wondering if it'd be smarter to convert it to the full size bed and get the side rails and let her sleep on that, rather than storing a full size mattress (which is practically brand new, so I don't want to give it away).

Thoughts?  Suggestions?
