Does anyone here sleep talk? Aaron's been annoyed with me because I've been sleep talking a lot and it just seems to be getting worse. Last night he actually went out and slept on the couch for a while. Apparently my sleep talking wouldn't be that bad if what I said wasn't so darn funny.
Anyway, anyone have any sleep talk remidies?
Re: Any sleep-talkers?
ME! I'm a chronic sleep talker. Okay maybe I made up that term but I'm sure if there was one, I'd be it. I've talked in my sleep since I was little. My sister and cousins used to torment me by asking me questions and I would respond. I mean they would hold full on conversations with me while I was asleep and be cracking up. Then when they'd laugh too loud, it would wake me up and I'd get mad. Also a couple months ago DH had a voice message from me when I was sleeping. I guess I called him, asked him if he was still on the market, left him my work phone number and asked him to call me back at his "earliest convenience."
Now when I talk to him, he just nudges me and I'll know exactly what I did. Other than that, I'm not really sure there's a perfect way. GL
sorry to laugh at you, but that is just great!
DH is a sleep talker. What's scary is he actually will get up and look at you, but he doesn't make sense so you always know when he's sleeping. I've had him fart and then laugh at it in his sleep too...guys they just never grow up!
I'm a sleep walker or at least I used to be. I don't know if I still do it...I haven't had anyone tell me I've done it in a while. I usually go off looking for a bathroom in the most unusual places like the basement. I once got sick all night, in my sleep which scared me for a while. I mean walking is one thing, puking all night is another (no alcohol involved I was 15).
I don't think there's any way you can get rid of that.
Aaron told me he farted in his sleep over the weekend I told him to go answer the door. He thought it was a hoot!
That must have been one hell of a fart if you thought someone knocked on the door! hahaha
My brother is a sleep talker, but I don't know of any remedy. His girlfriend said sometimes it's just mumbling, and other times it's like a full on conversation.
I, on the other hand, try to fight DH in my sleep if I go to bed mad at him for something. lol. Last week he said something to be that really just rubbed me the wrong way, but I knew he didn't mean it offensively so I didn't say anything or make an issue of it. Bad idea. The next morning he asked me why I was trying to fight him when he came to bed. I guess when he came to bed I was sound asleep & not moving a bit, but when he got in bed I started pushing him away and stuff.
I guess when something bugs me I just need to say it!
He asked me the next day if I remembered calling him, then played it back to me. I couldn't help but laugh myself.
jake does this too, but it is like a little kid giggle. i lose it all the time and it is so hard to to laugh and wake him up.
LMFAO!!!!
DH used to be the worst sleep talker. More than once he would suddenly sit up and ask me if I could see different things. It would scare the crap out of me. Once he started talking to me in his sleep and I said "what" and then he got super pissed at me b/c he said he was trying to explain something and all I kept saying was "what, what, what?" (I really only said it once). Then he didn't believe me that he had been asleep. I went and slept downstairs and he came down later trying to apologize and it took me 20 minutes to convince him that he really had been sleeping.
He doesn't really do it anymore, but I don't know why so I don't have any advice.
Christian says that this is what I do. I'll just pop up look at him and ramble something. One of my friends from HS talks in her sleep too and apparently we had a conversation together in our sleep once. From what I understand, it gets weirder when I've been drinking
