"Sexless Relationship" Question
That article that cosmodalitan posted was interesting! There was one part that said "In one survey, 14.1 percent of married men and 14.9 percent of married
women experienced little or no sexual activity in the past year?and not
necessarily as a side effect of menopause or because a relationship had
cooled over decades."
It made me wonder.. How long is the longest you have gone without sex in your current relationship? Could you go a year without sex?

Re: "Sexless Relationship" Question
i think it was something like 2 wks...because for 1 wk i had my period and then right after that i had a bladder infx for another wk. dont usually like having sex when those things are happening. we've been together for almost 8 yrs.
heres a 2nd question: how often do you have sex?
My DH is military... We have to go through no sex periods for months at a time because of separation. I think it gets easier when you aren't with each other and I almost didn't think about it after two months of no sex.
When we are together we have sex three to five times a week.
We just went almost 3 weeks. He was sick then I was sick then he was sick again, oh the joys of gross contamination, haha. That's the longest we've ever gone, I did not enjoy it.
We only have sex once or twice a week though and only on Saturday and Sunday mornings. My husband always wants it in the mornings but I can't get in to it and I always want it at night but he's too tired.
It's frustrating.
When DH was deployed, it was 6 months then another 7 months after R & R. We both could deal with a year or more if we had to(if not in country), but certainly not by choice.
A week is the longest we've gone.
A year without sex? People would be dead.
We went about a month at the longest.I was spending lots of time with some serious family issues and would barely get home to go to sleep.
Now that we are TTC in particular, it's about 3-4 times a week.
6 months. After we found out we were having a girl we just couldn't do it. We definitly took care of each other, just no intercourse.
Why would having a girl make you not want to have sex?
Say what, now?
That's some wacky thinking.
6 weeks while we were in a long distance relationship.
1 month since we moved in together. I had pneumonia and just couldn't.
There's no way either of us could go a year without sex. WE'd be super-cranky.
This is beyond odd. Really really odd.
In a normal pregnancy, you can't hurt the baby by having intercourse. That said, when we were doing it, I could never quite get this joke out of my head:
What's the 1st thing a newborn does when he meets his father?
Taps Dad's forehead repeatedly and asks, "How's that feel? Huh? Huh? How's that feel?"
Ha-ha! Ditto for us!
