Hi ladies, if you could spare a few vibes, we'd really appreciate it. Jordan is having a terrible flair up of gout. This runs in his family, his dad has it and so does his dad's mother (Jordan's grandma.) Gout is recurrent inflammatory arthritis that occurs in the joints and tendons. Jordan usually gets it in his left foot and big toe.
He was barely able to walk last night and has to miss his EMT class today. I am staying home from work to help him around and to hopefully convince him to go to the doctor. What is with men being so stubborn about going to the doctor?!
Any vibes from you ladies would be great, this gout needs to get the F out of town ![]()
Re: Magical ND vibes come in
Yep! Red meat, sugary foods and drink, fast food, peas. But there are some helper foods for gout: celery, cherries, and lots of water.
I hope you're honey feels better real soon!!! And you be careful helping him around the house...don't over-do it..because who would take care of both of you?!?!?

Vibes for you and Jordan. Feel better soon!
Are there any remedies available to him or is it more of a wait it out type thing?
**feel better soon vibes**
There was a study done a few years ago about how doctors generally take health complaints more seriously when they come from men because men (in general) go to the doctor much less than women. Doctors may take complaints from women less seriously, which can then lead to serious problems. It was a study on heart disease I believe.
Sorry ^that^ just popped in my head when you said how men never want to go to the doctor.
His dad takes regular meds, but since Jordan won't go to the doctor he hasn't been prescribed anything. They usually give some sort of steroid for it.
Thanks so much for all the vibes!! I just got back from my gout errands and Jordan is now soaking his foot in hot water with Epsom salt and eating cherries and celery. Have no fear, nurse Natalie is here.
:::Vibes::: for DH to feel better.
