In case you haven't noticed...
...I have been taking a major step back from this board lately. I feel that I owe you all an explanation. I've been trying to get my thoughts together for the last week or so, and this is my best shot at it. And I hope you know that everything I say it out of love... I care a lot for every woman on this board and regardless specific behavior I disagree with.
Basically, I don't like the direction that the Novembie board has taken lately. The cattiness, the ganging up on people ... I'm just not down with it. It's no secret that I try to surround myself with positive influences - and don't take 'positive' to mean puppies and rainbows because I think we all know that I'm a pretty real person who is willing to discuss both the good and the bad. But I like e-friends who are respectful and mature... not a bunch of Mean Girls.
If you have a problem with someone, send them a PM or message them on Facebook. Period. Respect our board enough to keep the drama off it. Because while you may think it's really funny to gang up on people and giggle about it afterward, being the odd man out hurts. I think one of the main reason people come to this board is because they may not have outlets to vent in real life, so imagine being rejected not only once, in real life, but also twice, online. It's nothing to laugh about. You are all very intelligent women, and you know that there are ways to disagree with someone or even call someone out without being catty. That's the type of behavior that gives the national board a bad name. If this is the direction you want to take the board in, fine, so be it. But just know that I won't be a part of it anymore.
Hudy, FWIW, I've always thought some of the stuff you said was annoying. The stuff about your husband not being able to go to NOLA b/c he's allergic to seafood was just like, wow. Yeah. But I don't think that you deserved the brunt of what's been brought upon you and I hope you don't think about it off the boards too much. Vannakay, you're acting weak and I think it's frustrating for us all to watch you, but I also know that you're going through an extremely difficult time in your life that none of us can ever imagine how it feels. I hope you take all the advice that's been given to you - even the advice that may have sounded harsh, because it was delivered in a respectful way.
I don't know when or if I'll really be back. Who knows, maybe I'll wake up next week and feel much better about the situation. You guys were a great influence in my life while we were planning our weddings together and afterward, and I hope we can get through this. But I'm not exactly feeling optimistic about it, despite my usually annoyingly-optimistic outlook on life.
I guess that's it ...

I did notice that you had not been around and was wondering where you were. I kind of concluded that it was because of the drama and I understand. We use this board is kind of our escape for the day to day grind and the board should be fun not full of drama (that is what real life is for!)
I hope you come back soon. We do miss you.
So I just re-read this and it sounds really dramatic. I certainly didn't mean to make it like a "GBCN" post, but it just kinda came out that way. Sorry, guys. But I did need to share how I was feeling about the whole situation and just lay it all out there for you guys so you know.

I hear what you are saying, and I am hoping we can all get back on track. I see both sides and I respect your opinion. I just dont like that Sheri is being made into the scapegoat for the situation . . .and hope that everyone can just try to get along again.
