My ring is about 100 years old, so it did not come from a jewelry store that offers warranties or anything. I cant add it to our insurance until I get it appraised. Most place will appraise, but will charge you 10% of what the appraisl comes in at...I had our jewelr take a look at it when I had all the fitting tightened and had the ring dipped...she said it was worth at least $4k...I dont have $400 to shell out just to get a slip of paper that says how much they are

Boo! That stinks! I lost of of the tiny ones on the side of my band before we even got married, but the jeweler replaced it, even though we don't have any kind of warranty with them. I'm glad yours is going to get taken care of!
