Re: Ugghh, just noticed...

  • Ohhhh... sooo  not good! I hope you find it and/or have it insured!

    Sooo sorry to hear!

  • Oh no.  This is one of my biggest fears.  Hope you get it taken care of soon.
  • Yea, it's all good, I just called to see make sure the insurance covers it, it does.  Wheewww!
  • Oh, I would have burst into tears!! Glad the insurance covers it!!
  • With you saying that I immediately had to look at my band just for good measure!  Glad insurance covers is but it's still a bummer.
  • That sucks!  I'm glad to hear your insurance covers it!

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOH MY GOD!!!!!! I would have $hit my pants if I looked down and saw a diamond missing. A big stinky dump in my pants!

Seriously this is one of my biggest fears!!!

Thats so awesome that insurance covers that! You are lucky!

My ring is about 100 years old, so it did not come from a jewelry store that offers warranties or anything. I cant add it to our insurance until I get it appraised. Most place will appraise, but will charge you 10% of what the appraisl comes in at...I had our jewelr take a look at it when I had all the fitting tightened and had the ring dipped...she said it was worth at least $4k...I dont have $400 to shell out just to get a slip of paper that says how much they are :(

  • OH NO!   Not cool at all!  Did you have the ring appraised?  Do they replace diamonds for appraised rings?? IDK.

  • Boo! That stinks! I lost of of the tiny ones on the side of my band before we even got married, but the jeweler replaced it, even though we don't have any kind of warranty with them. I'm glad yours is going to get taken care of!
  • Aww glad your insurance covers it and I hope it doesnt take long to get it fixed.
  • BUMMER!

I always worry about that happening with mine, too.  I get it inspected regularly, but if Robbins Bros goes out of business I will be screwed.

  • BOOOOO!  Where and what do you do to fix it?
  • Well I just bring it in to Kay's and they send it off (I'm guessing) to have a new stone set in it.
