XP: Help with a confirmation gift

My niece is being confirmed on Sunday.  I am her Godmother. I need an appropriate but somewhat unique gift so that it hopefully won't be a repeat (bible, etc).  She does NOT wear jewelry.  Any ideas? Thanks!

  • You're not her sponsor, are you?  If not I'd just give her cash or a gift card.  I'd go for something secular.  I know at that age I would have rolled my eyes if someone gave me a bible or yet another rosary.

  • We usually go the route of the gift card or cash due to the age. I usually might also throw in a picture frame or something fun as well. It depends on what she is into. Maybe a purse or soemthing?

  • I normally go the jewelry route, so I am at a loss on this one.
  • Thanks ladies!  I think I will go with a keepsake box from Things Remembered and a gift card. I really didn't want to do the yet another bible/rosary/crucifix thing yet want her to have a "permanent" keepsake for the occasion. I like the idea of a gift card and something permanent. This would be easy if only she wore jewelry!  Thanks for the ideas!
