The Nest is being stupid and I have attempted to write this 3 times now.
It's been busy at my house between having my mom and dad here to do some work (and lucky me, dote on me and not make me cook or clean all week) and my OOT trip last week, so I haven't had a chance to update you other than the freak out last week with the CF stuff (do not know anything else yet). We've told my siblings, our BFFs, our aunts/uncles/grandmothers/cousins after my OB appointment 2 weeks ago. We're going to announce after we see the baby at the NT scan on Monday.
We've been talking about it, and we are going to go Team Green (and enjoy annoying all the people who think we should find out ASAP). J agreed to let me, my mom and some quilting buddies make the nursery bedding as I did not love anything I had seen in stores or online. I had to agree to use the cradle his grandfather made him (that was really hard to agree to...not!). I have tried to upload my pic of the quilt pattern but the Nest freezes everytime I do. I'm going to try and link the book it is from the quilt is on the front cover.
Re: small baby JB update
Super duper adorable!!! I am soo not that crafty!
I want to go team green when it is our turn, but DH is not on board with that AT ALL
Seriously, how many times in your life do you truely get to be surprised!
TTC #1 13 cycles, CP 6/09, TTC #2 1 cycle
CDing, EP'd for 13 months for #1, BFing for #2
Pregnancy Hypertension - inductions at 39w, I grow big babies: DD was 9 pounds 1 ounce 22 inches, DS was 11 pounds even 22 inches - both vaginal deliveries
That's why we want to do it. And its not like we have a million options. Just one or the other. And I love surprises! I never open presents early- always wait until my birthday or Christmas. My family sends me packages and writes on them if I am supposed to open them early, b/c they know I won't.
Kudos to you for going Team Green!! Like Dani said, be strong in the u/s room and close your eyes when they're looking down there so you don't get a peek!
And I LOVE that quilt. So cute!
Yay for Team Green! DH and I want to do this too when/if we get pregnant.....I hope it works out though, because my DH is weak.
Glad to hear everything's going good with the little one. BTW- I love the cradle and quilt ideas, I love traditional/sentimental things like that.
I had every intention to be team green, but Gil was SOOO not on board, so I decided to find out!
So excited for you! The bedding is super cute!
How sweet!! That quilt will mean something to your JB forever. I know my moma made me a quilt when I was older out of her maternity dresses and my baby blankets and I adore it with all my heart.
YAY for team GREEN!!!
Yay for team green! I was team green with my son and I swore I was having a girl so it was a very fun surprise. Love the quilt pattern you picked out!
