Bone to pick. I've been meaning to bring this up. hehehe
You don't get the hype over Paranormal State? Seriously! Ryan is adorable. Need there be any other reason? Besides, it's amusing.
Matt loves Munkii!!!

Not the show, that Paranormal Activity movie that came out last year
. I've never seen Paranormal State...is it worth checking out?
But I stand by my assessment of the movie. Paranormal Activity=lame, nauseating, and cheesetastic.

Really? I'm usually terrified by scary movies, but I found absolutely nothing scary about it.

What kind of scary movies terrify you?
Frankly, fighting the invisible stalker who happens to be a demon out of hell scares the snot out of me.
Karen, that is hilarious!
The end wasn't even scary, just disturbing...in a Grudge kind of way. My mom read Communion to my sister and me when we were little because we begged and pleaded with her to read it to us. We built up an immunity to scary things early.
LOL... cause when I tried to build up an immunity to scary things early, I developed issues.
So is there any movie you consider scary?
Yes, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. Things that come out now are more disturbing than scary--disturbing in a, "that's sick," way. Know what I mean?
Take the Saw movies for instance...not really scary, just super gross and disturbing because you know it's just giving people ideas.
Silent Hill was terrifying, to me. I'm afraid to watch The Hills Have Eyes (is that the name?) because I hear it's very creepy. I think movies for the most part, though, have lost it--haunted houses will always be scary and preferable.
I would argue that Paranormal Activity surrounds a "haunted house."
But I know what you're saying about scary movies having lost it. It's actually one of the things DH and I LOVE about paranormal activity - it's not a blood fest like The Hills Have Eyes, the Saw movies and such. The best horror is psychological. Old Twilight Zone kind of stuff that gets into your head.
That being said, I have a thing about zombies. LoL, they creep me out far more than a psychopath with a chainsaw. 28 Days Later, in my mind, was fairly well done (though it received mixed reviews and the sequel blew chunks).
I HATE PARANORMAL STATE!!!! UGHHHHH. Shouldn't Ryan have graduated by now? Or is he going to be a career college student who looks for ghosts? I only watch it because it's after intervention and hoarders and sometimes im too lazy to change the channel.
I'm a haunted house JUNKIE! There is a pretty awesome one here in Atlanta... Netherworld... google it
Usually religious things make me scared (demons, biblical things), which I guess would apply to Paranormal Activity...it was just so cheesy, I don't know! I believe in spirits and all that, my dead great-grandfather saved me as a baby (woke my mom up with his familiar walk in the hallway and she came and found me having a hard time breathing) and we often smell my grandfather, who passed away a few years ago, at my parent's house as well.
I absolutely cannot watch anything that involves physical mutilation - real or fake - but especially real! That scarred show that used to be on MTV with those stupid skateboarding kids breaking stuff? Yes, absolutely cannot have ANYTHING to do with that. I drive DH nuts because I literally freak out and yell at him to change the channel if there is even a remote chance that bones will be broken. I really have no problem with the aftermath (I wanted to be a nurse for a really long time as a kid), I just can't see it/hear it happen.
