Sorry I didn't get this posted last night as promised.....unannounced company again, but here it is;
1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
3 Tbsp Dark Cocoa
1 Tsp Cinnamon
? Tsp Baking Powder
? Tsp Salt
? Cup Butter (unsalted)
? Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 Cup Sugar
1/3 cup Nutella
2 Eggs
1 Tsp Vanilla
? tsp Hazelnut Extract
? Cup Chopped Hazelnuts
Preheat oven to 375.
In medium bowl, combine flour, cocoa, cinnamon,
baking powder and salt. Incorporate well.
In separate bowl cream butter and sugar. Mix for 2 mins.
Beat in Nutella, eggs, vanilla & hazelnut extract until
well combined. Reduce speed to low and add flour
mixture until combined. Pour into greased, tinfoil
lined baking pan. Sprinkle top with choc. chips and
hazelnuts. Bake for 23-25 mins.
(Note: these do not have the texture of a "regular" brownie. due to the nutella.....don't be fooled and don't overbake)
I have to say I've never included the hazelnut extract only because I can't seem to find it anywhere. I usually just add some extra vanilla. These are a huge it with everyone. I'm usually asked to bring these to family gaterings.
Enjoy!
