What is your favorite kind of cake?
Mine is ice cream cake. YUM!
I also like cookie cake and red velvet w/ cream cheese frosting.

I love cookie cake!! I could eat it all day! My other favorite cake is any cake from Villa Italia bakery in Schenectady!
I love ice cream cake!
For regular cake I like white cake with a nice creamy (not gritty) buttercream frosting- either vanilla or chocolate for the frosting.
I'm also a huge fan of carrotcake with cream cheese frosting- but it's hard to find a place that does it just right.
There is a shop up in Webster (Rochester) called the Goode Shoppe that does amazing ice cream cakes that our family has been getting for most birthdays in our family for years. As far as home-baked cakes, I'm a big fan of my mom's carrot cake (I agree with Labbie - hard to find a place that does it just right) and I'm always down for chocolate cake with vanilla frosting. There is this one version (I think Duncan Hines) that has colored chips in it that is the best. Not the funfetti stuff. Colored chips that look like chocolate chips. Not easy to find but oh so yummy....
Ice cream cake! Specifically Friendly's! I am actually getting one for DH's birthday again this year (his request). I am disappointed I can't have any of it (off dairy while BF'ing), but I guess it's better for the waistline that way! lol
Although... I guess I can't promise I won't pick up a different dessert for me. LOL
