Fundraising Campaign

Hi Ladies

Happy Friday! I'm not sure if this ok on here, but I'm going to post it anyway. Each year, I do a 30 mile walk in PA for the National MS Society. My best friend was diagnosed with MS 5 years ago and each year it takes a different toll on her body. She amazes me every year by walking the full 30 miles with our team. At this time of year, I reach out to all of my networks to help in my fundraising efforts. I figured why not post it on here if this cause is near and dear to anyone else.

Here's the link to my fundraising page if anyone is interested in donating:

There is no obligation to donate. I just like to get the word out there about this disease as not many people know of it unfortunately until you or someone you know is effected by it!

Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy the Super Bowl parties on Sunday!

Re: Fundraising Campaign

  • Personally I think it is fine to post that here, my grandmother had ms so we always donate! Remind me this weekend I am at work now and my bag is in my car!

  • Thanks Jenny. I'll definitely remind you. I'm sorry that your grandmother went through that. To watch my friend (who is only 31) go through this as such a young age while taking care of 2 small kids is just heartbreaking to me sometimes.
  • I think it's great you are doing that, and no, I don't think there is anything wrong with posting this. You are not a "vendor."

I am doing the MS Cape Cod Geatway (bike ride from Boston to P-town) for the 2nd time this year.

  • Mel, make sure you send me your fundraising page and I'll donate!
  • I see absolutely nothing wrong with it, as the pp mentioned, you're not a "vendor."  I always donate to worthy causes, and I feel that MS is certainly a worthy cause.  My thoughts and well wishes to your friend and her family, as well.

  • I think that it's a great idea! I also always do the MS walk as my mother was diagnosed 15 years ago. This reminds me that i need to sign up :-) and all that jazz....
