I remember when I was first married, the local radio station had a segment called "The Quiet Storm." They played all freaky, dinky, music, like Silk & R Kelly.
I love Portishead, Zeppelin, Marley, Thievery Corp.& Marvin Gaye. Some other good ones are Closer by NIN, In Your Wildest Dreams by Rev. Horton Heat, Crazy In Love by The Magic Numbers, Tick & Maps by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Mondo Bongo by Joe Strummer, Electric by Luscious Jackson, Hot Kiss by Juliette & The Licks,... Pledging My Time, Lay Lady Lay, & The Man in Me by Dylan are also good. Porno for Pyros album Good Gods Urge is sexy start to finish, as are the first 2 Kings of Leon albums.
