NO trip officially canceled
Just got the call from American and our flight is canceled. It hasn't even started snowing yet! So sad... This better be one doozy of storm to ruin everyone's plans.
Re: NO trip officially canceled
That's crazy! They should wait and see what happens first.
On a funny note - I just saw a friends FB status from Nebraska asking "will one of my DC friends pick me up from DCA at 2:30?"
ha - the snow should be strong by then, doubt he's going to have any luck!
Lol. You're not going to offer? I was supposed to have 11am appointment in DC but I'm not going anywhere near that place.
The grocery stores are nuts here too. I hear they are sold out of a lot of stuff. I have to go because we are totally out of cat food and don't have much for ourselves. I tried to go to the Giant across the street at 11:30pm last night thinking it would be less crowded. The lines were half way down the aisles so I came home.
This stupid snowstorm is RUINING everything!!
Oh no, I'm sorry.
I'm so sorry!!!
I'm actually sad that I am missing the "Storm of the Century" - we don't get snow days in Houston like I used to on very rare occasions when I lived in DC (although I don't miss the absolute lack of ability to remove the snow!)
That sucks! I've be so pissed if my trip got cancelled because of the weather. I guess you're going to have to make hurricanes at home.
Luckily I always buy more than we need at the grocery store every Sunday that I don't have to make that dreaded trip tonight. I heard that the lines are really out of control. It's winter, people. It snows. Why is everyone freaking out? According to DH, we've already had 28 inches of snow here this year. What's another foot, right?
