Anyone with connections?

Anyone with connections to places that you think might donate items such as breakfast foods, snack items or items for a lunch/dinner?

I am the co chair of a raquetball tournament benefiting Prevent Child Abuse America in March, and we are trying to get various donations.  I have tried contacting various places, but I find it helps when you have connections?

Also if anyone is interested in playing in our tournament or wants more info let me know!

Thanks!

 JoAnna

Re: Anyone with connections?

  • At our swim meets where i coach they always have a place for the coach's and officials to get food. They always get a ton of food from Quaker steak and lube. Also, Panera gives us 3 or 4 bags of stuff! Even full loaves of bread. I can ask our chairperson tomorrow and see if there is someone certain they talk to and can pass the info on to you. :)
  • Ditto on Panera.  Just call and ask to speak to a manager.
  • Talk to the local chipotle as well. they usually have free burrito coupons or they will make burritos and give them. You should also try local Kroger stores or others, they usually have a budget for those things.

  • For Chipotle you have to fill out a form on their website way in advance.  Do it ASAP.
