My DH has decided that he needs a new brand of razor. I told him now that he is switching to get a more EF kind. (he was using disposables!) So aside from a razor that has replaceable heads, what else is there? I use the Venus razor where all I buy is the new small heads and keep the handle. I've had the same handle for prob. 5+ years.

You replace the heads but you can send the plastic razor back to be recycled when it wears out. They also have tootbrushes, etc.
I use the Preserve razor and replacement blades. I can't imagine needing to recycle the razor part - I've had mine for at least a year or maybe even two and it isn't showing signs of wearing out. The blades are great. I feel like I get just as good a shave as when I used Venus blades. You may even want to double check the Preserve blades to see if they're compatible with his current razor.
I've also used Hok2 replacement blades and they sucked. They didn't give a great shave and the little tabs usually broke off when I was putting them it on the razor (I had a Hok2 handle) so it was pretty much a waste.
