Monday morning

Morning ladies. Hope you all had a good weekend. Sounds like we all will have snow at some point or another.

I definately got some much needed sleep after a drama filled evening. Small baby update: My doctor said if hes not here by Weds at my appointment, we will probably schedule a csection. So theres an end in sight :)

Re: Monday morning

  • Wow Stacy! You're going to meet your son this week! I hope the drama filled evening wasn't too bad.

Happy Monday morning! We spent the whole weekend cleaning and decluttering so we can sell our house. It goes on the market on Thur!

  • My weekend was cold (see Powerless Weekend post).

Sunday was good though.  We had a superbowl party and I won the pool.  We guessed the combined amount of points the teams would score (closest without going over).  My guess was 37.  The final combined was 48 but the next closest person had guessed 50.  I was pretty excited.

YAY for an end in sight for you Stacy!  I'm sure you're excited.

  • Good morning.  What a surreal feeling that must be - it's one thing to know you're expecting, but altogether different to know it's any day now! Smile

I'm doing alright today.  We had a busy, but productive weekend.  The new appliances are in the new duplex, which makes a big difference.  We did some cleaning, but still have a lot to do (we're wiping down all the baseboards, doors, etc, before taping to paint the rooms we are.)  But we're making slow but steady progress. We also took Xena over with us yesterday and she was better about it all (her bucket of toys and bed helped.)  AND.. she met the landlord's dog and they appear like they CANNOT WAIT to play (they were opposite sides of the fence.)  They're well matched in size and seemed to like each other well (both were hopping and trying to play.)

  • Morning!

Stacy - I'm SO excited for you! I can't believe that you just might have your baby this week. Time sure did fly by!

  • Thanks ladies! Im sure ill update weds with any news from the doctor and if something happens before then Elizabeth and Michelle are my contacts :) Oh and Kristin: just normal biological dad stuff. His whole family is causing huge problems and i just told them enough i dont need this right now.

Im glad everyone had a good weekend.

Stacy...if you need to vent at all please do so. I had lots of drama with my own mother about stupid things the week before Declan came. It really helped me to vent it out otherwise I thought my head would explode!

  • I had no idea you guys were selling your house! Did you find a new one or will you wait until yours is sold? Thanks for listening. Dont these people know better then to mess with full term pregnant ladies lol.
  • Morning...it's been a slow day so far but that's okay because it helps keep my anxiety down.  I had a good relaxed 3 day weekend and looks like I may not have to go in to work tomorrow either if we get the snow they are calling for.  I love the snow but I'm running out of places to put it when I shovel the driveway!

Stacy, I'm so excited to see Baby P!  Tell Nick I will be expecting hourly updates when he comes LOL!

  • It's been a last minute decision so we can move closer to our jobs. Right now we both drive 1 hour north (work about 15 mins from each other) and it's terrible! We're waiting to look at new houses until our townhouse sells.

Just remember...in the end all that matters is that you and baby are both doing well and healthy. Don't worry/listen to anything that will stress you out or upset you.

  • Good morning.  I am exhausted.  We were up till 1 both Sat night and last night.  All the painting's done (well, the absolutely necessary painting...bathroom will be this weekend) but both the kitchen and bathroom sinks started leaking REALLY bad last night - kitchen at 10PM and found the bathroom mess at 11PM.  I'm so tired and sore...and I'm wondering if it's a sign to not move.  Tongue Tied

And I've been stressed all week b/c we haven't even listed our condo and we're going to go sign the contract for the new house next week (or the week after...we have 30 days before we lose the lot).  This is prob the dumbest thing I've ever done...but we finally sat down last night and realized that while it'd be tough, we can easily swing both mortgages if we have to.  Just no more going out for dinner 2-4 times a week and my shopping habit will have to be seriously reconsidered.

Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

You could always become a landlord...assuming your HOA would allow renting.  Most do but every now and then there is one that won't.  Even if you don't rent it for the full mortgage you are least paying part of it.

I agree with Graves.  I would give it at least 6 or 8 months on the market after you move and then consider renting if the market isn't good in your area.  I'm so glad we are renting out our condo now.  It's helped a lot, even though we "could" afford to keep it empty it's better not worrying about it being empty and not having to pay the mortgage and electric out of pocket each month.

  • Morning girls.

Thats so exciting Stacy! I can't wait to hear news!

My weekend was good, too short as usual though. We ended up buying the rest of the furniture for the nursery, we figured we would need to buy it sooner or later so we wanted to do it when we would have time to build our savings back up before he comes. I can't wait for it to come so it will really start to look like his room. We also had date night on Saturday night which was really nice.

It is absolute, absolute last resort.  I do NOT want to be a landlord.  I don't even want to deal with trying to find reasonable people and then worry about them trashing the house, not paying, biitching all the time.  No way.  It's not for me.

And there's a guy in the unit next door who had his up for rent for over a year before anyone wanted it.  And he was asking for less than the mortgage + HOA fees.  I just have no desire to deal with the shiit that goes along with it.

Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

  • so excited for you Stacy!! will they consider inducing before c-section? I was induced w/ both of mine (I'm a bit of a control freak) it wasn't fun, but I was a bit worried about recovery time with the c-section. I wish you all the best, sending lots of positive thoughts your way!
