PIP: Our new living room / Before & After
DH and I remodeled our living room. He put in the floors and we both did the "decorating."
We had water damage on our carpet and it had been driving me crazy for a loooooong time. And I think this living room is much more "AT & DH."
Before:

I'm actually too embarrassed to show the room w/out the couches... the water damage to the carpet underneath the furniture was AWFUL.
After:

My favorite table:

Every time I walk into my living room, I get a huge rush of happiness. We've been wanting to do that for so long and it's finally done.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures

Re: PIP: Our new living room / Before & After
The new floors make it look so much bigger.
Saawheeet!
I love it now, much better! How was this "almost free"? I saw in your morning post that you did it almost free...do tell....i love a good free/cheap/sale story
DH is a handyman and at his discounted price, the flooring was $170 (which we were able to pay "gradually" at $50 per week). We got the black couch (it's actually a futon) in the living room as a gift from MIL for his birthday last year. The bubble wall panel near the back window was free (his boss had it sitting in his back yard and was going to put it in the dump). The glass table near the back window was free (he took it from his mom's house when we moved because she no longer wanted it).
Almost everything in the room was a gift or a hand me down lol
.
Looks great!
Aww, I used to have that same little fountain. Our cat wouldn't stop drinking out of it. It was always low on water & made horrible noises so I eventually gave it away. I miss the sound of running water
