V-Day/Weekend plans

So is anyone doing anything special this weekend for Valentines day or just some cool weekend plans in general? I haven't got DH a single thing for V-day yet.. apparantly I suck at great romantic ideas right now?? Anyone else having a hard time?

DH and I, my fav cousin/bff and her hubby, and my aunt and uncle are all going to Maggie Valley NC to go skiing this weekend.. I know I know I hate the snow but hey atleast its going to be mildly entertaining watching everyone face plant since none of us have been skiiing before besides DH. And hopefully this will be a chance for me to get some great pictures and try out some new things with my camera. Plus I found the recipe for the yummy Chocolate Fontini they make at the Melting Pot and I am going to buy the ingredients so I can make them for my girls to indulge in this weekend! WOOHOO!

On the down side still no ideas for something special for DH....

Hubby surprised me with dinner reservations to a great restaurant in our area. I didnt' want to stifle his planning spree but we also have a surprise birthday party for a friend of mine that night.

We're going to try to do both.

We won't be celebrating until next week sometime. DH has to fly to the state of Washington on Saturday, so I'm going to my parents house for the weekend.

DH made resrevations at the same restaurant where we held our rehearsal dinner... a very romantic Italian spot. We will also exchange small gifts. I bought him the cologne he'd been wanting, and I think he maybe got me the watch I was hoping to get for Christmas, but they had temporarily stopped making it. It'll be a 3-day weekend too, so lots of snuggly time!

We kind of are, but not because it's Valentine's Day. I'm the MOH in my best friend's wedding next Saturday (yay!), so we are going out a few hours west and staying at the resort where she has a room block and going to the rehearsal dinner, etc. I can't wait, it's going to be a blast.

We are going to Savannah for the weekend (hopefully if the flights don't fill up). Going on a ghost tour Saturday night, then driving to Hilton Head on Sunday then a yummy italian dinner! Woot woot! I just got DH a huge block of dark choc. from the local choc. shop and a nice card. DH has already warned me that I cannot buy too much when we go to antique shops.....I'm debating if I should bring an extra suitcase or just ship it all back....... Stick out tongue

We are going to the Rose Bowl Flea Market on Sunday morning with my dad. Not a romantic start to Valentine's Day but it should be fun treasure hunting... they have a ton of vintage stuff- clothes, furniture, etc. After that, we don't have plans. Maybe go out to dinner or pick up take out and have a romantic dinner at home... not sure yet.

Hey i was supposed to go to Tampa this coming weekend to see my BFF but decided not to. She is going to a big bridal show there! Ha!

My DH is planning VDay. I know he is cooking me dinner because he asked "what is ur favorite veggie meal" LOL that was a giveaway!! He has some "cheap but fun" things planned for the day. I am pretty clueless as to what to do for him. I can't plan anything because I will mess up his flow and he doesnt want anything! I guess ill have to get my creative juices flowing...

I know DH is taking me out to dinner on Sunday, somewhere nice but casual. I'm excited! I'm trying to convince him to take off Monday so we'll have a 3-day weekend together, but he doesn't know if he can.

I'm super excited about my gift to him- we wrote our own vows, so I'm handwriting the ones I said to him nice and neat and then getting them matted and framed (small, not huge or anything). I'm happy I found something heart-felt and inexpensive. And I'll probably bake him something too.

I got my V-day suprise early...DH took me to a concert this past Sat. and it was so much fun! So I am planning actual V-day for him but I am just going to cook dinner and make a dessert plus I got a few goodies for the bedroom for him Wink

DH has to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so I don't think that we will be doing anything. We may go out the weekend after for dinner or something but I don't know. He keeps insisting that he isn't doing anything or getting me anything. I had come up with a great gift idea but it just blew up in my face so I am back to square one with that too. If anyone has any ideas let me know otherwise I will keep you posted.

Well since I work in a Bakery at a local store I will of course be working. I do get off at 12pm on Saturday and then 2pm on Sunday. We have no plans for Saturday but going to dinner on Sunday. We will then exchange our gifts to, I got DH a photobook off Shutterfly that has pictures from my boudoir shot I did in Jan. Also blew one up to a 5x7 for his bedside table. Then some candy! (thought we could share that since I don't need candy for myself!)
