With less than 30 days till my due date, the LAST thing I need to do right now is adopt another dog. Yet I cannot pull myself away from Petfinder. Someone stop me.

We've had Millster for 3 weeks and she's a little dream boat. I can't stop you...sigh.
My SIL did adopt a pug puppy when her baby was 6 months old and ended up giving him away after a month..it was due to housetraining issues but I think she cleaned her floors with ammonia products rather than repellent (knowing what she currently uses to clean her house). ::facepalm::

True freaking story. Plus I think it would truly traumatize Coco. I'm already a little worried about how she's going to react to a baby. It might kill her if I throw a new dog in the mix. She's a tad bit spoiled you know.
I suppose I can wait a few more months till we have a better idea of what we're dealing with.

As much as I would love for you to adopt a dog it isn't the best idea. It may be too much right now. H and I are having kind of the same situation but different now. We want to adopt a puppy (I love petfinder) but we are going to try for a baby soon. I think it would be too much stress and our current pet might get a bit angry and act out. Guess we will just have to wait on the pup.
Yeah, me and the mister chatted about it earlier and he thinks adopting another doggie is an excellent idea but that we need to wait until the babe is here and make sure Coco is used to that idea before really throwing her for a loop.
I'll resist the urge to peruse petfinder for now. And clean under the fridge instead.
