How was everyone's weekend? Mine was awesome!
Friday night we just hung around.
Saturday morning we were woken up by a phone call that SIL was in the hospital, baby would be born soon! Judging by her progress at that time, I figured around noon. I was right! My gorgeous new niece was born at 12:17, and I am so in love!
Also Saturday night MrT and MrsT came over and we had a great time with them!
Then Sunday we went to visit with my niece again. Then watched the superbowl at my parents house after.
Re: Good morning ladies!
We had a very productive weekend! We're about 1/2 way done with painting our room and we're making home improvement decisions left and right. It feels so good to be making progress!
That's so wonderful about your SIL and new niece! Sounds like such a happy weekend
So happy that they're all happy and healthy.
It was a good weekend. Nothing better than having it end with Manning throwing an interception to lose the Super Bowl...I mean, congrats to the Saints for winning their first Super Bowl! It was a lot of fun getting together with friends to watch too.
I also set up my china cabinet (that I've had for over a month) and it looks so nice. I love our china and it looks great in the hutch I got. I do need to buy one more stand for a serving platter.
Happy Monday!!
My weekend was good as well. Friday night I worked.
Saturday morning I went to Medford to meet up with my MIL, FIL, S'sIL and B'sIL to celebrate MIL's birthday. She had no idea that everyone would be there. We were also discussing the upcoming wedding of my BIL and his fiancee. They wanted the wedding party to be all family and they want me to perform the ceremony!!! I'm so excited!!! MH did it for his sister in '08. I hope I do ok. I tend to get emotional at weddings. :-)
Sunday was spent around the house and then worked at night. Thankfully I had the Super Bowl to watch because it was a very slow day at the hotel. Today I have to go grocery shopping before work and tomorrow, I'm going to Cafeteria on Newbury St for a concierge dinner.
Yah Saints!
Happy Monday all! 1 more week to go before another long weekend!
Friday was spent kinda doing nothing... which was fine with me.
Saturday we were running errands all day and just played it chill for the night... oh yeah, and we broke the news to our parents, this the new ticker in the siggy
Yesterday I had lunch with a couple of girlfriends, and then we went to our friends' house to watch the game.
Good times.
morning!
Friday DH was in RI for work so I just hung around the house (working/watching tv/doing nothing).
Saturday, DH came home in the morning and slept most of the day (he had worked 24 hours the drove home). Saturday night we went to the jCams and had a lot of fun
Sunday we made the drive down to Plymouth to our good friends' house - it was the guy's birthday and it was also a Super Bowl party. Really fun and SO happy the Saints won. I've always been a Drew Brees fan and I just don't like Peyton Manning
happy monday!
Friday night- I went to the gym and then made dinner and went to bed relatively early.
Saturday- bat mitzvah in Easton & then relaxed for the night. We watched a movie and caught up on DVR.
Sunday- I went to a kickboxing class at the gym and then crashed... after that I ran some errands (dropped my skiis off to be sharpened) and made food & had a couple over for the superbowl! We ate ourselves silly.
Congratulations!!! Yah babies!!!
Thank you
We took an impromptu trip to Montreal this weekend and spent Friday and Saturday walking around, even though it was freezing. We had a great time and laughed at ourselves and our pathetic inability to speak any French!
Sunday was spent doing the chores we ditched the first part of the weekend, and watching the Super Bowl/getting some reading done.
Congrats on the baby news Mrs.McC!
Congratulations on your beautiful new niece!!!
Our weekend was .... unexpected.
My grandmother has been ill for some time and was supposed to be sent home from the hospital on Friday. The plan was that the whole family was going to congregate at her home over the weekend to hang out, play games, look at pictures, and tell old stories.
Well on Friday her prognosis of weeks to months was changed to hours. DH came to work to let me know and I left as soon as a sub showed up for me. My whole family spent the day at the hospital with her and she passed away that evening.
Saturday we still spent at her house looking at pictures and telling great old stories. Yesterday DH and I just stayed home to relax and unwind. It was a sad weekend but I'm glad that she is finally at peace.
I'm so sorry for your loss Kiwi!
I had a similar situation where they thought my grandmama would come home to her cottage for the summer (this was at the beginning of June '05), and by the middle of the month my mom said I should probably start looking at what to wear to the wake and funeral. Sure enough, she passed away later that month. It stinks when you get so excited to see them for a little while longer and then they're taken so suddenly.
I'm so sorry for your loss Kiwi. That's good that you all were able to be with her, I'm sure it helped all of you a bit.
