Another Nuvaring Question...
I know this board is full of Nuvaring questions, but I've never seen this one addressed.
Ring fell out the other day during sex and I forgot to put it back in (I know, I know stupid me) and I have had it out for 2-3 days before I remembered.I didn't put it back in because today I got what appears to be my period, but it isn't scheduled to come for another two weeks.
So do I put a new one in after this "period" ends? Or is it just breakthrough bleeding and I should put the old ring back in? Or something else?

I am on the Nuvaring... do you know that there is a whole little pamphlet of information that comes with it?
If you are using it for BC then why would you not remember to put it back in for 2 or 3 days?
Call your GYN and ask them what you should do.
And I hope to God that you're at least smart enough to be using condoms - you're going to need to use them for the next month or so, even after you put in a new ring.
Definitely use back up....
Call your OBGYN and ask what you should do.
I was on the Nuvaring for two years. You are having your period because your body thinks it is time to have one because you had it out of your body. You are fine, just put a new one in after you end your cycle and you will be back on track.
The medicine is powerful enough to trick your body. The medicine controls your period. We decided not to get pregnant right away and my doctor told me it was safe to not have a period. The Nuvaring allowed me to do this because when I took one out I put a new one right back in. No period. It was nice.
Good luck. My guess is that you are having an un-scheduled period.
