Boys
Boys are so funny at times.....I am not sure where Art gets some of his ideas about things. Do you know the man though we will get NO money during maternity leave. He has been saying we need to wait on a baby....found out tonight why. HOW WILL WE MAKE OUR HOUSE PAYMENT. OMG I think I need to let the man take over the finances for awhile. I explain the finances to him, but I dont think they sink in.
He thought during the entire maternity leave we would get zilch and live on his income. Now mind you we did live on his income just fine for 2 months. I wish I could see what else he is worrying about in that head of his.
****disclaimer**** I understand there is costs involved with the hospital, babies, daycare, etc.

I think a lot of people DO go without income for maternity leave, don't they?
Under FLMA (FMLA? I can't remember lol), employers are required to give you time off, but they don't have to pay you.
I know the only reason I would get paid is because of STD insurance (and that only covers 6 or 8 weeks, depending on type of delivery).
ETA: I also think it's incredibly hilarious that he's freaking out about it when you were in a similar situation in the not so distant past. Hahaha. I think they just have very short term and/or selective memories

LOL, I love when they freak out. Usually I'm the freaking out one and David's like, it'll work out.
i know, right! TJ and I may both have no money coming in during a portion of my maternity leave (i'm currently waiting to see what my boss agrees to since right now it is no money paid during leave) and he thinks its going to be great!
we do have savings and have been preparing for this, but still.
