AW: Pity party for one

Hi girls! I'm feeling pretty blue today. Today is the day that Mike leaves for a full year (not 7 months like we originally thought). I'm at work today (he's already on the road) and would really rather not be. I'm in a pretty crappy mood and just need a little uplifting. All of this V-Day excitement is really not helping either. ::sigh::

Can you guys cheer me up, please?

  • I can at least commiserate with you.  I was lucky to get a chance for a quick visit with DH this past weekend, but he's now back out to sea and I won't hear or see him for months.  Not a year, but it still sucks.

We all have our crappy mood days.  Vent all you want.

ps. Nice of them to add 5 months onto his deployment.  Grr!

Unfortunately, this isn't even deployment yet. Deployment will likely come immediately after this year. Right now he's doing training on the east coast. The good news is that we'll get to visit, but not nearly often enough. We're planning our first visit in April.

It's nice to have someone to commiserate with though. Welcome to the party!

  • I'm really sorry girls. I hope the time flies for you. You can come here and vent anytime!

Well crap, that sucks even more.

We're the flip side of you guys.  My DH is on his way to San Diego and I'm east coast.

  • Aw, Chrissy, I'm sorry :(

I don't have anything particularly interesting to cheer you up, but I am around (insane as my life may be...).

  • Sorry Chrissy and Junebug--I feel for you both :(
  • Ok!  I bring the things to cheer you up:

    A funny cake from cakewrecks.com:

    Hey, Bebeh

    Thursday, January 8, 2009

"Girl, you lookin' fine. Why don't you come over here, and give daddy a lil' sugar?"

"Check it. I've got a spiky polar-bear-skin rug for us to lounge on, and some suh-weet champagne glasses the size of water coolers. I even put on my navy blue tighty-whities, 'cuz I know how much you dig those.

    A funny story:

(seriously, every time I read this I bust up laughing.  And there's a part II!)
