Due to the predicted storm, they have closed the office for the next two days and I already had off on Friday.

I just got the email that the city schools are closed again tomorrow and I am guessing they are going to be closed all week. I don't know how it is where you are but it's still bad here in the city. There are still streets in the city that have not been plowed and now they are predicting 6-10 more! The problem is that they have no where to put the snow in the city. I guess in the old days they just dumped it in the river but now they EPA doesn't allow it (which I totally can see why). Last night they showed one of the city high schools and the national guard was using it for a based so they can be ready come this next snow.
Enjoy your time off! I'm hoping we get these days pardoned so we don't have to make it up!
Yup, still bad here too. I'm in the burbs and there are seriously 6ft piles of snow all over. We also have like one lane to get out of our development and up the back road to the main road. It's an icy mess. The parking lot at work is only on like half capacity because of the snow mounds. I seriously don't know where this snow is going to go either. They just increased our predicted snow fall to 18-24 more inches on top of the 28+ we got over the weekend. This is crazy. They said we only need 6 more inches to be at the snowiest, worst winter ever. I think we are definitely going to pass that.

Nice. and here, we all have SUV's and it's assumed we'll be here. Come on, really?! Cause they don't want to pay us if they have to close, but if I don't come in... well, that's on me.
Thing is, we could all work from home, but since the hourly people don't have that option, they can't offer it.

I'm SHOCKED the Fed Govt is closed again today. That never happens! My office follows whatever the Govt does, so I've been lucky and had yesterday and today off. It's nice. I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow though....we're supposed to get another 12-18 on top of the 30 we already had. There's no.more.room for the snow. There's an 8ft pile of snow next to my car, and the wheels are in ice. Our neighborhood hasn't been plowed yet. We braved going to the grocery store yesterday and it was awful. All I know is that my car physically can't go anywhere no matter what so I'll be working from home until June when my car thaws out lol.
