I just noticed from Emmy's response to your post below that you are now living in Pittsburgh. One of the places that DH has a possible job opportunity (although NOTHING is set right now) is in the Pittsburgh area just southwest of there (Bridgeville?). Where are you located? It is ridiculous to say, but growing up in central PA I never really spent any time out in western PA. I think it is beautiful there, but don't really know much about the different areas. Any help or advice would be great! Thanks!
Re: sunriz
I grew up in Western PA and moved to Central PA after grad school. Anyway, I grew up in a small town called Turtle Creek which is southeast of the city and now I live east of the city near Greensburg. I really like Pgh. I do not have a lot of knowledge of the Bridgeville area, but know that is is nice that direction. I drove past there when I attended WVU. It is a nice distance (not too close or far) from the city and and I believe there are nice school districts in the area. You would also not be too far from new Tanger outlets, Washington, PA and Wheeling WV. I know there are some really nice areas that way. I can ask around to see what areas to check out and which ones to avoid. If there is anything else I can help with, let me know. GL!
Oh.. to go to Central PA, I believe you would take I - 70 to the turnpike. I think it would maybe take 4 hours +/- 30 minutes.
