Did I hear that correctly? A double vagina?

Did anyone see that Tyra show last week?  Women born with two vaginas?  And almost all of the guests said they had no idea that they had two vaginas until later in life.

Re: Did I hear that correctly? A double vagina?

  • I don't know about anything else, but it would make sense that they wouldn't know until later in life because the vagina is an internal structure, not an external one.
  • This is going to sound wrong, but I want to see a bisection of that.

  • And didn't she have twins (well, a baby in each uterus) that she became pregnant with within a day or two of eachother?!

My nanny growing up had this same medical issue and only found out about it when she was already in her 40's. Mind you, she had a baby at around 18 years old but they didn't catch it then. Hectic.

  • it is actually a birth defect, and not unheard of.  a bicornunate utereus is caused by the same birth defect, something is supposed to join together to form the vagina, utereus, & fallopian tubes, if something goes wrong it can happen.

my ob/gyn told me about a woman with 2 vaginas and 2 utereus

  • I know someone personally that has 2 complete reproductive systems.. Never knew until she went back for her annual after her honeymoon and was asked why she didn't have sex on her honeymoon (hymen still intact on one side).  Lots of tests later they determined that she has double everything!

LOLZ, that's what I was thinking!

  • Yeah, I saw that, and I was intrigued and slightly freaked out. I can't imagine what that must be like.
  • There was an article about this somewhere else this week, and I remember cracking up when one of the women said her husband was excited when he found out because "he got to pick"
