Snow day? Yeah right.
Every time we have a snowstorm, I bitterly regret changing my major freshman from education. I really want one freakin' snow day. ONE! Is that too much to ask? I'm a total wuss and can't drive in snow to save my life, so at least got a ride in.
I swear I must have a disproporitional amount of FB friends who are teachers. It seems like every status is about having the day off. 
Anyone else stuck at work on the East Coast and wants to whine?

ME ME ME!!! i feel the same way... seems like everyone is talking about cancellations. Although Rochester tends to be pretty hearty in terms of snow tolerance ? despite some nasty winters, our school districts rarely close for snow days.
But working, i have little to no excuse anyway. i live 3 blocks from where i work, so im pretty sure id be expected to get here one way or another, even in the event of major snow. ugh!!

I'm here, but probably leaving early, as the snow is supposed to pick up.
There is generally 40 people in my office, and only 4 people in today...every other office in the complex is closed. My office sucks - I don't really think there is a need for medical reprint company to be open today.
Whew, I'm not alone in my immense bitterness this morning!
My boss even offers to pick all of us (7) up at our houses in his SUV every storm to make sure we get to work. Ugh. Srsly, it's not that important we be here!

That would annoy the crap out of me... if its bad enough I can't get there in my own car, I definitely dont want a ride. Just leave me alone!

Haha, my heart bleeds for you with your sunny gorgeous weather! I'm so over winter. It's usually around this time I just can't handle it and swear I'm moving away from the Northeast.
