For anyone whose relatives smoke

Re: For anyone whose relatives smoke

  • Yes Thanks for posting!  I am so glad that I quit and once the no smoking in restaraunt laws took over here, several others that I know quit also. SUCH a good thing.

It definitely is! And I'm glad you quit, too! I want you to live a nice, long time!

  • I'm a former smoker as well, now I can't even stand the smell of that yucky stuff.  The one thing that bugs me is my MIL says she refuses to be told what to do when we tell her that we do not want her smoking around our kids (when we have them), she smokes around our niece and I wish she wouldn't.
  • My ILs have been smoke free for 30+ days and I am uber proud of them!

That's total cr*p. I refuse to allow my kids to be smoked around. So if I was you, I would tell her that you aren't going to try to tell her that she can't smoke whenever she wants to, but she will have to make the choice between smoking and seeing her grandkids. Because you aren't going to be told that your babies have to inhale that shiit. You're not telling her she CAN'T smoke, you're just telling her what her choices are. Easier said than done, I'm sure, but we're talking health and life here.

  • my mom is a smoker and it drives me insane.  I have to wash everything she sends me.  It makes me gag and she thinks noone can smell it because she has air purifiers running throughout her house.  You think she would have quit when my grandpa died of complications from lung cancer.

    Right?!?!
