There goes my hopes and dreams

Flying in the wind, down the drain.. however you want to look at it.

Crying

I am always thinking of schemes to get what I want.... and 99.9% of the time, they work.

I had a Idea go off this morning when thinking about childcare for Loela.... School ! I could go to school and be a SAHM.

With DH GI Bill they have a Post 9/11 that you can transfer to spouses or dependents.  I was like score !!!! I could go to school, get different stipends and they pay a housing allowance each month !!!!

If i'm reading correctly, DH had to serve 6 years for it to be transferred. Crying There went that.  This also could have gone to Lo for her higher learning.

What a bummer !!!! Well gotta keep working, and keep on hunting for a sitter/daycare.

Becky, with Art being former military... do you know anything about this? Was I reading this right?

I have heard about this, but I haven't checked into it.  Is it only for disabled vets?  I thought some reason that is what I heard.

If it's for all vets who served 6 yrs heck there is my meal ticket to be a SAHM!!!! I will go back to school no problem!  Art has 20 yrs. Although he isn't disabled.  He could have applied for disability because he won't do it.

  • No, its for any vet that was serving Post 9/11.

He should apply for disability, if he is.  He served his country !!! Joe also receives compensation for having Lo and I as dependents.

Yes.  The only thing is if you do online classes they don't pay the housing allowance.  They pay at E-5 rate depending on your zip code.  For us that would have been 1300+ dollars !

Plus book stipend and something else, I don't remember.

    Def. look into it !

  • He was in Iraq after 9/11....so yes, he should qualify.  This could be a sweet thing and all the more reason to get knocked up. lol
