Lingerie Shower ideas, please
So I'm helping to throw a lingerie shower for my sister. Anyone have any ideas on some themes?
TIA

Re: Lingerie Shower ideas, please
Just say this today. Hope it helps!

The corset vase idea is great!
This site has some good ideas.
The ladies who threw my lingerie shower had this great idea:
1.They bought an oversized (mens) button-down, collared shirt. Decorated the pocket with "Mrs. McElroy" in glue n' glitter
2. Cut plain white ribbon into foot-long pieces
3. Had each guest write marriage advice on one piece of ribbon. (ex: Always listen more than you talk.
Aunt Val)
4. Cut out the buttons on the one side of the shirt.
The ribbons will then be threaded through each side of the shirt to pull it together once you put it on, then tie it in bows. The point is, in order for your new husband to get "down to you", he must untie each and every ribbon until the shirt is undone, reading the advice the entire way. I wore this shirt on my wedding night, with my garter, and my husband still asks about "the shirt"
It's a fun, sentimental, sexy idea... I really loved it, as did he.
The hostess also did a game based on "The Good Wife's Guide" (http://www.snopes.com/language/document/goodwife.asp) where she first asked us questions aloud, such as "How much in advance should you plan dinner" that we answered on a notecard (without knowing the questions were from the guide). It was funny. That would also be a good bridal shower game.
Hope this gives you some ideas!
BTW, the hostesses of my lingerie party were my soon-to-be-husband's aunts... but don't let that fool you, because after every game I was given a gift by "the hostesses", including: fur lined red bra and thong (for Christmas), heart shaped bra and thong (for valentines), and, of course, a set of handcuffs. Before you ask.. yes, my future mother-in-law was there for the whole thing! It was hilarious because she is NOT as "outgoing" as her sisters. Lmao at the memory.
Ok i'm done, I swear. Good luck with your shower, I'm sure it'll be a blast!
I threw a surprise lingerie shower for my best friend a couple years ago. I didn't want her to be terribly embarrassed so I kept it classy and only invited close friends. Her wedding colors were pink and black so those were the colors I used to decorate- they also happen to be the colors of Victoria's Secret. I had several small floral arrangements scattered about with pink roses and lilies. I scattered plastic gems shaped like diamonds (got them from Walmart) around the tables and also had feather boas draped over the furniture. I had candles everywhere... I had votives and pillar candles lit, and I also floated them in bowls of water which looked really romantic. I played sexy music and made a ton of girly food- mini chicken salad sandwiches on phyllo dough, pasta salad, spinach and artichoke dip, stuffed mushrooms, shrimp cocktail, a lettuce salad with strawberries, fruit pizza, and chocolate covered strawberries. We had pink champagne and played "X-rated Bingo." To thank the girls for coming I gave them romantic favors- I bought pink Chinese take-out boxes and filled them with Dove chocolates, a scented sachet for their lingerie drawer, a mini pillar candle, and rose-shaped soap. It turned out really well and we had lots of fun. If you want to see pics, here's a link to the photo album on FB: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30515458&l=967041d39b&id=1377912931
Hope that helps a bit!
