I'm having a purse party at my house in a few weeks and am trying to come up with an appetizer menu.
What I'm definitely making so far:
Veggie tray
Bread bowl (with cheese dip, not dill dip)
Texas caviar (bean/corn dip) with tostitos
Cupcakes (need something sweet!)
**can you tell I like dips?**
What else should I make? I'm trying to stick with quick, easy, cheap things since I'll be doing pretty much everything myself
Re: XP-appetizer help!
Chex Party Mix, chips and dip, bowl of M&M's or mixed nuts, Rice Krispie Treats. All of those can be made ahead of time. Check with the girls on the What's Cooking board...they usually have blogs and blogs of good ideas.
Shrimp
Fresh mozz balls on a toothpick w/ basil and a cherry tomato
Cheese and crackers
I second a cheese tray! yum!
Also, what about shrimp cocktail, or deviled eggs?

These are two of my faves, both easy to do ahead. The ranch crackers are a family staple. We are not allowed at holiday family gatherings unless we bring them.
