Do you use coupons?

Good Afternoon Ladies!!

I am always reading these articles about how clipping coupons can save you loads on your grocery bills. Ahem, where are the coupons? Is this a American thing?

The only coupons I find are at Save.ca and the ones in the grocery store posted above the item (Real Canadian Superstore) therefore there really isn't that much in regards to coupons. The Grocery stores just mark the crap down as "On Sale this Week".

Or am I missing something .... ?

Re: Do you use coupons?

  • I do, occassionally. Only what comes from Save(dot)ca and in those envelopes filled with junk mail.
  • alot of stores here don't encourage couponing like they do in the US.  Alot of stores in the US double the savings amount of coupons.  You can save tons of money in the US using coupons.
  • I do, sometimes I get them instore, sometimes in the store flyer (I save a lot using the Rexal coupon book), and in the flyers that arrive at our doorstep there are usually a few for household products.

I find I get fewer coupons for actual food products, usually i just make my shopping list from the flyer.

  • save.ca and then we get loads in the mail (for local places - not so much groceries). When I lived in the US I used coupons all the time and saved a butt load. It isn't the same up here. We just get coupons as frequently as they do in the US.
  • We get a lot of flyers mailed to our home with coupons.  Sometimes I also find them in magazines or order them online at Save.ca
