as some of you know I had a m/c this past dec. I was just told by a boss of mine that my work since that time has not been up to par. He said it was understandable as I'd been through 'hell' but he still felt the need to bring it up repeatedly and wondered why I was in tears. No one bothered to question how on earth I was back to work on Monday since I didn't get confirmation until Saturday.
Just another reason why today I have decided to take a new job. The money is not worth this degrading atmosphere.
Re: wow
How inappropriate! I'd complain to HR (if your new job is with another company). If you'd like, I could come down there and punch him for you. . .I'm guessing your DH would like to do the same.
<<hugs>>
Wow... what a sh*thead!
I'm sorry he's being so stupid :::::big hugs::::: I hope you find something better soon!
Ditto the supportive DH! What an complete idiot who obviously never has had a bad experience in his life.
If you have not complained to HR I would totally do so even if you are still going to quit - that is not right for him to come at you with something like that.
And you are better than me - I would not even give a notice.
HUGS!
Catching up on sports news...
Your boss sounds like a douche. I think you should defintely talk to HR about it and I hope you find a better job soon.
Yes, Ditto PP.
I'm really glad you are able to leave and hope your next position doesn't have an atmosphere (or boss) anything like this.
PS - This totally made me think of a boss I had several years ago when I was living up in NJ. She was going through a horrible divorce at the time and she took everything out on me and my co-worker, we were the only two who worked under this woman. Anyway out of the blue she just became very difficult, wouldnt give me stuff to do, and the stuff she would give me was next to impossible for me to do, based on my knowledge levels. One day she called me up and said, can you come to my office around 11AM. I said yes, and when 11AM came, I showed up at her office and she had someone from HR sitting in there. It was a total ambush. She had a huge list of all the things she didnt like or wasnt happy about, some stuff was RIDICULOUS, like 'constantly makes negative facial expressions,' I dont even know where she got that from, no one else did either when I showed them the list. When the HR lady asked me what my boss could do better, I told her a bunch of things, and my boss just flew off the handle and insisted she didnt do any of those things. It was horrible. When the HR lady left, I broke down, couldnt help it, I was so embarrassed, and she said, "aww, go back to your desk and pray about it." (knowing I was Christian). Needless to say, I started exploring my options and started applying to grad schools as a full time student. I left as SOON as I got an acceptance from UNCC. Funny enough, my co-worker who had become my BFF (hey, you tend to bond when you share these horrible experiences) moved with me to NC
she was my MOH in my wedding.
