Austin Nesties
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
I want to do some fact checking on something that a client is telling me, but it happened in the 80s and I don't know how to access news from that time. Any thoughts? Thanks!
Re: How to find old news?
I have only seen it in the movies where they go to library and get the newspapers in microfilms, and look at them!
I don't know how far back this goes:

You can search Google News archives and narrow results by decade.
There is also the Newspaper Archive (though you have to pay to search results; check their list of participating newspapers before you pay).
What sort of info are you looking for? I end up doing a lot of news searches for my job, so let me know if I can help.
