Anyone else snowed in?

I am hoping that most people didnt have to brave the weather to go to work today. How much snow did you get? And where do you live?

Re: Anyone else snowed in?

  • we're snowed in... i'd guess 14" in east berlin
  • I live in Maryland now, but we were still pretty snowed in from the 34 inches on the weekend (schools are closed all week here), but now we already have another 10 inches or so.  Definitely not going any where.

  • I don't have an actual reading but I'm guessing we have around 10-12" currently in Lancaster. I'm so glad that I'm home. Our office doesn't close unless there is a state of emergency from the governor.

  • No work today because it's a snow day (yah for teaching!!), which I need...I missed 4 days between last week and Monday because of my grandmother's funeral/etc, so I need today to figure out where the kids need to pick-up from.  We probably have about 3 or 4 inches.  We won't be getting as much as many of your ladies who are further south.

  • We are snowed in in York... No idea how much right now. I don't feel like going out to check, haha. DH's work is not closed but he called in last night because he didn't think it would be a safe drive to or from work. He isn't sure about tonight yet.

  • Way too much snow to measure in east York. I shoveled once last night and again this morning.  I really hope school is closed tomorrow so I don't have to go back out there again!  I think snow days were much more enjoyable when I was a kid with no shoveling responsibilities!

  • We're in. I have no idea how much we have as it is still pouring. I'm guessing at least a foot.

Yep, what Stacey said!  It's getting pretty irritating.

I totally agree with you there!

I am a teacher too, but the superintendent of Harrisburg doesnt really believe in snow days or delays bc he says he is concerned that the kids are unsupervised. We have only had one 2 hr delay this year and this is our first snow day. So I have no idea when we will go back... probably before everyone else. LOL

  • My aunt lives 10 minutes from us and measured 2 1/2 feet from this storm, so that makes a total of 5' from the two storms. School is already canceled for tomorrow, and who knows about our inservice on Friday.
