What's your snow plan?
I just looked at weather.com and it doesn't look good over here in SI...I'm not too sure about the other boroughs tho'. =/ It stated on their website that it's supposed to start snowing tonight (around 10pm) and stop snowing on Thursday (around 8am)...what a frigg'n mess this is gonna be. =(
So, I'll evaluate the situation in the morning. If I think it's driveable, then I'll try and make it to work...if not, I get another day off. I work in a hospital, so they're really pushing for us to get there, but I don't think I want to risk my life for work. =/

Since everyone is asking about the office being open tomorrow......just use your judgment. If you can get in, come on in. If you can't make it in, we will understand.
but basically that means they think if we take the subway and walk, we should probably be at work. i plan to bring some work data entry crap and some proofing home and in the event that we get a ton of snow, i'll work from home. since i live in queens and take the subway, it is assumed that i will be here.
My university already called a snow day, so I don't have work tomorrow!!! I'll be packing all day - I leave for Disneyland on Friday!

I am actually going into work tomorrow. I had a retouching project from today that needs to be finished in the AM. boss-man said if its snowing badly I can just go home after that. woo hoo!
either way, i have a pretty easy commute of walking and the subway. can't complain too much. plus, after going to college in rochester, ny and NEVER having a snow day, I can handle it.
i went to syracuse and while this kind of snow is absolutely manageable up there, it's so much worse here IMO. the city actually plowed, the university shoveled/sanded/salted as needed, and off campus people generally shoveled their part of the sidewalk, etc... so it was not the obstacle course of snow, ice, and slush that it is here. i seriously fuckinghate commuting in this crap!

School was called off yesterday early. I come from Wisconsin and we would often have early dismissals, but I get how snow here really is complicated. I know if our school dismissed early, we'd have so many kids left over.
So I am sitting in my new living room and watching the snow come down. I really do want to do laundry, because I can't tomorrow as I'm working after school since I'm not today.
I don't know Amy...it looks like a winter wonderland over here in SI right now and I hear it's gonna get worse by this afternoon. So, we'll see. =/
P.S. I called out...there is no way in hell I was driving to work in this. DH called out too!

hee hee - I agree!! but, just to let you know, I think the snow only really started accumulating after 4am this morning. (I know this because of my nightly 4am potty break - haha) now as soon as this client emails me back that I'm all set, I'm going back home home home!!!
i came in and one of the directors who lives in manhattan is working from home!!

I'm at work a lot of people didn't bother to come in. They said we can leave at 2pm and get paid for a full day. But if you choose to stay home you have to use a vacation or personal day.
Now I'm just trying to decide if I want to go to yoga before I go home.
It seemed like there were plenty of people out and about when I went up to Union Square to my rescue group this morning! It seems like it's coming down harder now though. I was planning to go to the gym this afternoon but it's pretty warm and cozy on my couch right now.
DH's office is open but a lot of people are working from home, I guess. He went in, but his commute is only two subway stops.
