Why do people do this with kids names?
I see *alot* of kids names dealing with daycares, etc all day. Lots of traditional names, then a bunch that each parent *thinks* are unique that aren't (lol), and then there are those few that are just ridiculous and makes me wonder why people do this to their kids. This boy's name is Radyr...pronounced RADAR! Yeesh.
Re: Why do people do this with kids names?
Names like that always remind me of car names.
For that reason when my husband and I are talking we call our neighbour's kid Tiguan as he has some ridiculously spelled name I can never remember.
Y is the new black.
Radar, even with spelled properly is a horrible name.
My thoughts exactly!

When I supply teach and I have to take attendance, I hate when I mispronounce kids' names wrong. This makes it so much more difficult. You can tell the kids get it all the time too, because they correct you and look all annoyed (while the other kids laugh)
I totally would have pronounced this Rad-er or Rad-ire (since when does the y make an ar sound?)
