Foodies: Indian Food HELP!
My friends and I have a dinner club - once a month a different couple hosts the party at their house and each month that host gets to choose the cuisine - and the other members have to sign up for an appetizer, dessert side dish - and the host makes the main dish(es). So - tomorrow my friend is hosting Indian night and I have the task of making dessert. Anyone know of a yummy Indian dessert?
I found this but I don't know what any of this is....I suppose I can just click through and find something that sounds good. But I wasn't sure if anyone had a yummy dessert idea. Any insight?
Re: Foodies: Indian Food HELP!
epicurious.com is one of my fav sites - you can search by cuisine and course. this is the result of indian + dessert:

p.s. I like to read the reviews of what others say to get ideas of how to tweak it and whatnot.
That's what I was going to suggest.
I have seen a rice pudding in every indian restaurant as well. And it's really easy to make, you may need to get cardamom or rose water from somewhere.
Gulab Jamoon (C&P'd from your link because I didn't know how to spell it.)
