Weekend Plans?

What is everyone doing this weekend?  Anything special for Valentine's Day?

Re: Weekend Plans?

  • We are going to be cleaning and packing most of the weekend.  Still no place lined up officially but we turned in the paperwork on Wed. so we're just waiting for the go-ahead.

Tomorrow is DH's birthday so we are going to do our usual surf & turf dinner at home to celebrate.  He mentioned going out for a Valentine's meal as well but we'll see how the packing goes.

  • Packing. Packing. Packing.

Should be pretty much moved out of the house and into the apartment in the next week or so.  This weekend is the big push to get things packed and ready for transit.

No V-day stuff planned here.  DH not around.

  • I have a 3-day weekend and am not really looking forward to it. All of my friends have Valentine's Day plans for the whole weekend. All of them. My 72-hour weekend is currently composed of a 1-hour accupuncture appt and 71 hours of boredom and missing my hubby. Boo!
  • Chrissy killed the thread!

    :) Just kidding

Let's see, tomorrow I finally get my highlights redone so I don't look worse than Kate G. anymore (seriously--blonde AND red highlights on my dark brown hair with at least a good inch and a half of roots showing).  Then if possible, a crafting GTG with local nesties.  Sunday, relax and cook dinner. Monday will probably be a marathon cross stitching day. Those presents aren't going to make themselves!

We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

Ha! I have a tendency to do that.

  • Tonight - not much

Saturday - working some overtime, then dinner with MIL and GMIL in the evening

Sunday - I'm going to make MH a big deal and dessert. I'm hoping I can get him to watch some chick flicks with me, but I may lose that one.

  • Actually, now that I think about it...a majority of the 3-day weekend will probably be spent watching the Olympics!

And Chrissy, you need a craft while DH is away. Maybe SBS can teach ya to scrapbook or something :)

  • That sucks Chrissy -- hopefully it wont be as bad as it sounds for you...

We decided not to go out of town and I'm disappointed but oh well.  Instead we are renting a movie tonight and watching the Olympics opening ceremony.  Tomorrow, cleaning, running some errands, and going to see Valentine's Day.   Sunday DH is taking me to breakfast at this place I've always wanted to go... Lynn's Paradise Cafe - its been on the food network a couple of times and they are having a Valentine's Prom Sunday morning so we are going all dressed up.  Sounds cheesy as hell but it should be fun.

ETA: and Monday I'll be working.  No 3-day weekend for me.

  • Tonight we might go out to dinner and a movie

    Tomorrow nothing

Sunday we have to go to a wake. I am so happy I don't get into valentine's b/c that could be a way to make the day not so great.

  • Tonight DH is working late so I'm watching the Olympics by myself.

Tomorrow is hockey game (Colorado Avalanche is in town!)

Sunday: nothing.  I think Valentine's day is stupid.  Chrissy, if you want to come up to L.A. I will totally have you over!

    Monday: dentist appointment

Also figure about 10 hours worth of schoolwork needs to get sprinkled among those days.  Maybe more if I get some notes back from my professors (hint, hint!)

I'm up for that! But not this weekend. This weekend...

Today - On campus for meetings all day

    Tomorrow - Helping out at a charity event from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Sunday - Grading, homework, working on my thesis, and maaaaaaybe doing something Valentine's-y at some point.

Monday - One campus is closed. The other decided to observe the holiday during our spring break. Lame.

  • Tomorrow heading to Sacramento to try a burger place that was on diners, drive-ins and dives.

Sunday- staying home watching movies and making dinner, not sure what yet.

Monday- helping BIL move and then relaxing at home.

  • Yesterday- got out of work at noon, came home, caught up on Tivo, cleaned the house, napped, went to a MBA networking event, met DH and another couple for drinks

Today- got up early, studied, took a midterm, went to the gym, made dinner, now just relaxing at home nesting while DH is watching NBA

Tomorrow- church, lunch with my parents, checking into a hotel for a fun Vday treat and fancy dinner

Monday- off work! sleeping in at the hotel with DH then meeting some girlfriends for lunch!
